Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 02:08AM No, Dear Reader, I am not dead. Just been busy as All Get Out. And unmotivated to post. But I have been working, and photographing, and so hopefully more is to come on a regular basis. For now, enjoy these macro photos I took this Spring and Summer. Walking around the garden with a 580 EX2 speedlight in an Orbis Ringflash attachment, I took these with the intent of rendering as much detail as possible. Sometimes I would use the ring flash normally, around the lens, other times I would use the ringflash as an off-camera source, more like a giant softbox (compared to the small objects I was shooting). Macro is fun, I'd love to get into more of it.
